Different Strain To Grow With Feminized Marijuana Seeds
Power Plant cannabis seeds are primarily of a female dominant feminized strain of pot. These cannabis seeds originally came from a South African, which has now been back-crossed worldwide. The original intended purpose for these seeds was for the cultivation of medical marijuana, but it soon became a much sought after replacement for Safflower and Medicago strains which were more popular during that time. It is also reported that in ancient times, there was use of this in place of intoxicants. It is, thus, not surprising that with its great potential, the popularity has grown steadily over time.
It is reported that South African cannabis seeds have high concentration of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabis (THC). It has been used as a remedy by tribes who would use it to ease pain, reduce tension, cure nausea and vomiting and as a mood lifter. There is no clear indication or proof as to how it came about but records show that it was first used by the Maori in New Zealand, where it is still widely used. From there it travelled across to the United States where it was used in the early 1900s as a remedy for muscle spasms, coughing, spondylitis, gastritis, coughing and other ailments.
The original strains were mostly found in the Kalahari Desert and were very tough. The flowering period was very short, resulting in small, fine hair-like flowers. It then moved on to the Mozambique jungle and found itself with an environment which replicated the high produced by the cannabis plant. This new combination produced the ‘Queen Anne’ strain, which has led to the current crop we know as Moroccan cannabis. The flowering period for this new strain was much longer lasting than the original South African strain which produced short and medium length blooms. The Moroccan plants became known across the globe and are now grown in countries such as Spain, Italy and Brazil.
Today Moroccan cannabis varieties are crossbred with many other types of cannabis plants such as saliva, charliel and geranium. Some of these have very short flowering periods. The best way to tell if it’s a cross breed is to smell it. If you are able to smell it then it is most likely to be a sativa based cross bred with a charliel or geranium. These plants do not cross pollinate so will not produce flowers between their parents. A cross between a sativa and a charliel will produce the best results with long flowering stems and very noticeable flowers.
Some growers crossbreed their plants with other rare breeds. For example they can crossbreed with the Jamaican Gold and the California White. These are very hard to find in the market so most growers will crossbreed with the common types that you see. This is often how collectors get their hands on certain strains and it is also the best way for newbie’s to be able to understand which type of cannabis seeds are right for them.
There is one very rare and hard to find cannabis seed used in the making of this popular drink. It is called the Sativa margosa and is found only in south African south-east Africa. It’s native there but now can be found growing in the Caribbean, Central America, Argentina and Peru. It is only found in feminized form of the plant called the Margosa Sativa. This means that it has been feminized so it will grow without the flowers.
When trying to grow feminized strains, it is important to find a high quality breeder that grows them in good conditions. It should also have good soil and good quality potting mix. The reason for breeding these plants is to produce the strongest buds possible. With feminized cannabis seeds it is important to remember that there will be more buds on the vine when fully grown. So try to keep that ratio at fifty-fifty.
Many growers prefer the Feminized version of this plant, because they can control how much marijuana is produced. Some growers also choose to feminize just a portion of their plant then harvest the rest as soon as it is ready. No matter which method is chosen by the grower they all agree that the strain with the saliva in it produces the best results. With feminized cannabis seeds it is easier to control because it is not going to grow out of control and become unmanageable. Growers also find it a lot easier to control the feminization process than those with indica. The majority of growers who grow feminized cannabis seeds prefer the feminization process because it produces flowers that are stronger and larger than those from their normal plants.
