Power Plant is an indica high THC tolerant, mostly sativa variant from Dutch Passion and is perfectly suited to indoor growing (when the plants need a flowering period of about 56 days). It has a gorgeous, long-lasting blooming height, spreading to a good length and setting a perfect background for most indoor growing cycles. Dutch Passion is also available in Feminized Seeds which is specifically bred to produce feminized plants.
There are two types of Power Plant cannabis seeds available today from which to choose: White and Red. The red variety can also be used in cooking when dried (particularly as rubbings in Stilton leaf salads) although it will retain most of its resin. White buds grow up to three inches and are the purebred offspring of the White and Black varieties. The leaves are densely covered with a thin white fuzz, the flowers are small and dark colored, and the buds have a very strong and distinctive smell.
A number of hybrid varieties are now available for cultivation, including the hybrid ‘Queen Anne’, which produces large and fragrant buds; ‘HR-2’ produces large, highly fragrant buds; and ‘EVA’, the second type of hybrid being extremely rare in nature. All the varieties of the power plant cannabis seeds, including the hybrid varieties mentioned above, will produce an excellent crop if they are properly started off in the correct season. Most of the best crops are produced during the main growing season between spring and summer. With the planting of the hybrid varieties of cannabis seeds in autumn, you are sure to get consistent harvests throughout the year, and with little loss of quality. The climate of the area you live in will also affect the eventual growth of the crop. For example, some varieties of cannabis cannot be grown in extremely cold or very hot climates; this should be clearly indicated on the seed packaging.
Many amateur growers often struggle to keep their plants healthy through the flowering season – some may even start losing the colour of the flowers. This is no cause for alarm, and with the correct care and attention many of the problems can easily be resolved. One way to ensure that the buds develop into strong and healthy flowers is to provide them with sufficient amount of sunlight, watering the plants only when the soil is dry. Some growers prefer to position their cannabis seeds further away from the house in order to increase the amount of sun they receive each day.
If you are growing the cannabis seeds indoors rather than outdoors, it is vital that you make sure that you create a comfortable environment for your plants. Indoor growers often struggle with the amount of heat in a typical room and this can have an effect on the health of the buds. As most indoor gardens are built using materials that do not reflect heat well, particularly glass, it is important that growers ensure that windows allow at least some ventilation. Alternatively, some growers opt to place mirrors above the pot in order to reflect heat back into the room. Humidity levels inside a room also play a part in how quickly plants will grow; therefore, it is imperative that you keep the temperature at an acceptable level.
When attempting to achieve the desired results with your plants, you will also need to choose the best type of marijuana to plant. For instance, indoor growers who have chosen favourites such as Cheese or Sour Orange will find that these strains are difficult to maintain and tend to produce small, weak, early blooming buds. When attempting to cultivate these types of favourites, it is important that you select high CBD varieties, as this will curb the effects of any resin build-up. Typically, high CBD cannabis will require less water, fewer feedings and will stay hydroponic longer than low CBD varieties.
Power Plant seeds can also prove very successful if the grower is willing to work hard and mimic nature. Many experienced breeders will gravitate towards invasive species, providing them with a rich source of organic matter, food and water. Examples of this type of cannabis variety include Purple Coneflower, Dutchman’s Beard and the famous Sour Diesel.
Many modern cultivation techniques, however, have been developed to enable indoor growers to achieve the same result as outdoor gardens, by mimicking nature’s design. Indoor growers can select from over 40 different cannabis varieties that are suitable for power-growing and often have the benefit of receiving greater access to sunlight. This provides the opportunity to control the amount of light reaching the plants and thus dictate the timing of flowering. There is also the option of using indoor gardening methods to induce plant pollination, which will encourage a natural reproduction, further contributing to achieving the full potential of seeds grown from power-grown cannabis.
