Bioprofertilization of South African Potions
Power Plant cannabis seeds join an elite group of hybrid seeds first bred in South Africa from the highly feminized sativa crops. As a member of the Reggae category, they are among the most cross-bred cannabis varieties. Due to the 80% feminization of this cannabis strain, these potent strains are well placed to induce a profound and uplifting high, which leaves them energetic and focused, but also completely relaxed. This is the perfect high for those who want a mind-blowing high.
The cannabis seeds used to develop this exceptional strain were initially sourced from south African coffee bushes. In particular, the Reggae indica was chosen due to its cross-dominant nature, meaning it produces three times more sativa than other cannabis plants. This exceptional trait enables it to reproduce without the use of the female plant. Because no female plant is required for reproduction, the result is cross-cross seed production, which results in a powerful and unique strain which is extremely strong with large, beautiful flowers.
It takes three years for one cannabis plant to produce one bud. When cultivating Reggae power plant weed seeds, a continuous and extensive amount of hard work and patience are required. The buds do not flower in the traditional manner – in that they form into large, dark, leathery, dark colored buds. In order for these buds to open completely, they must be bruised deeply, by “shoving” them down into a compost pile. Compost is the perfect medium for preparing the buds for flowering.
When cultivating this exceptional cannabis, two separate plots must be established, one at each end of the garden bed. The first plot should be three meters away from the house on which the plants will be grown. The second plot should be positioned at a distance of 150 cm from the first plot. To start, the autoflowering Reggae seeds are placed into plastic or metal containers which have been filled with vermiculite or compost.
Once the autoflowering Reggae seeds have begun to sprout, the surface on which they are planted is covered with soil that has been slightly composted. After about a week’s time, the first buds appear. As the plant grows, it pulls up roots as it continuously pushes upwards. Gradually the height of the plant increases until it reaches about ten centimeters in height. During the flowering period, the flowering buds reach a maximum diameter of around three centimeters. They bloom for approximately four weeks, during which period they create a smoky aroma in the air.
The flowering period can be elongated with the aid of greenhouse. Bioprofertilization of feminized cannabis seeds ensures that the female plants attain full fruit production. In the United States, farmers commonly use indica and sativa strains. It is advised by most growers to grow this way since these two types do not cross over to produce cross-pollination.
Hybrid seeds produced through bioprofertilization allow the plant to grow much like the original, with only the two species having slight differences. This is achieved through the artificial introduction of male and female plants. When hybridization occurs, the original plants are crossed with indica and sativa strains. The resulting product is a cross between indica and sativa, which give the plant the ability to produce the desired effects from the marijuana flower. This is why South African sativa is often referred to as “power marijuana” because it produces the highest amounts of THC in comparison to other strains of cannabis.
The best time to harvest South African cannabis seeds is during late summer or early fall. Harvest buds to be sure they are fully developed when you purchase them; buds that are still covered in flower hairs are not ready for trimming. Trim the excess spent on the bud, because too much flowering can make the plant become unstable. Place the buds in a Tupperware container to avoid moisture damage and then use a coffee filter to dry out the buds. Use an airtight container to store the buds until you are ready to use them.
