Limited Edition Seeds – An Essential Part of Any Garden

Limited Edition Seeds is an ideal choice if you are looking for fast, dramatic results. In order to make the best use of your limited edition seeds you should know exactly what type of feminized plants you have and where they are located. Many gardeners mistakenly think that feminized seeds, when they are in fact non-hybrid seeds, can produce much better flowers than hybrid ones. But in fact only non-hybrid plants will produce the striking flowers that you desire, even with feminized traits.

In order to get the most out of your limited edition seeds, you should collect a group of six or seven productive female plants each with their respective flowering period on the same day. Then plant them evenly on top of a one-inch thick glass plate covered with a single layer of cut vegetable paper. Let the paper set overnight so that the next day you will be able to see the result.

Each plant should be placed in individual pots filled two or three times with a standard potting soil mix purchased at any garden center or nursery. You should make sure that the pots are wide enough for healthy growth of your selected seeds. The depth of the pots should be no more than one fourth of the thickness of the female plants. The seeds should be planted directly into the thin layers of soil and the pots should be kept in place until the intense flowering apex of the seeds is over.

For the second planting day, remove the female plants carefully and place them in individual pots filled two or three times with equal parts garden soil and one-fourth cup of bone meal. Carefully spread the bone meal on the lower surface of the pots and let it settle for several hours before moving the seeds to their final location. The bone meal will harden after eighteen hours and create a firmer seed bed. The same process should be followed for the third planting day but allow the female plants to bloom until the intense flowering period of the seeds has ended.

For the fourth and final planting day, remove the female plants carefully and group them together in single pots. Fill the pots with one-fourth cup of bone meal and cover the pots with thin layers of sand or wood shavings. Place the seeds in their location and cover tightly with the shrub protection film.

The limited edition seeds (female plants) should now be ready to bloom. All you need to do now is watch closely for their development. As soon as the flowers begin to open the vigorous growing process will commence and new foliage will appear along the stem. The shrub protection film will be needed again to keep the resinous buds from spreading out and pollinating other nearby trees and shrubs.

After forty-five to fifty days of intense growth you can remove the plants and gently shake them so that the resinous buddies are released. The feminized buds will continue to bloom throughout the season, but will have less intense blooms than those from a male plant. The end result will be a crop of colorful, aromatic flowers, but without the extreme overbearing fragrances found in true wildflowers.

When choosing feminized seeds (female plants) for planting in a garden, remember that they will produce an intense aroma even though they are naturally male. There is no reason to give feminized plants a different aroma than those produced by the natural species they come from. Many feminized varieties of a native wildflower can also produce some of the same fragrances as their wild-flower counterparts. Make certain to check the package labels to make sure there are not artificial preservatives, coloring, or fragrances added. Make certain to consume the seeds directly after planting, if you choose to use them. Some seeds may not be able to be consumed raw.
