Crossbreeding For Regular Marijuana Seeds
Regular marijuana seeds can be grown by any amateur gardener. They are also easier to grow than many other types of marijuana. Regular seeds are harvested and stored in a special type of plastic bag called a flake. These are small, dry marijuana leaves that have been cut and then re-hydrated so they can release their oil. Once they are dry, they are ready to be smoked or dried for use.
When you grow regular marijuana seeds, you are starting a small colony of marijuana plants in a small container. Typically the amount of plants you need is one bud to two meters in diameter. Crossbreeding techniques can be used to achieve a wide range of results. There is no limit to what can be achieved when crossbreeding un-sexed cannabis plants. Some enthusiasts will go as far as breeding dogs with cannabis plants, and some enthusiasts crossbreed plants of all four species of cannabis. And some enthusiasts have successfully produced seeds that will produce a plant with a feminized trait, as well as produce cannabis plants that will produce cannabis plants with high levels of THC.
The breeding methods used by these fanatics, however, is not recommended for breeding purposes. Many enthusiasts who use autoflower marijuana seeds often crossbreed plants of high THC levels to create feminized weed seeds. This is known as feminization, and can be a deadly risk to anyone who is not an expert in genetics. Crossbreeding is often used to achieve a specific desired trait, but producing a plant that will grow with little or no risk of side effects is much better left to the experts.
