There are many reasons that people collect limited edition seeds. Some do it just for fun, spending a lot of time trying to cross as many different varieties as they can in order to create new and unique creations. Other people collect them for their own personal use, to provide the plants with an even greater diversity or to simply showcase some of the best of the breed.
Perhaps the most popular variety is the x orange and kush. These are the Sativa and crosses of the classic Cactus species. Although the two are of very similar physical attributes, the difference between the two is that they are bred for flowering. Both flowers well, with the x orange having larger blooms than the kush at maturity.
The x orange f2 sativa dominant hybrid has been the most highly sought after throughout the world. It was the first cross of a true Cactus with an indica. As a result, they do not tend to flower as early as the kush, but their self-sowing ability is very strong.
If we were to focus on the most prolific x andarab Afghani indica dominant hybrids, we would probably be looking at the Kenya X and South African X. These are the most popular of the Cross Sets. They are the granddaughters of the South African Kalahari Bush, and are the result of crossbreeding two different Kalahari cervices. This leaves them with an astonishingly deep green foliage and an incredible capacity for producing huge, showy flowers. They are almost sold out at most garden centers, and many grow much more rapidly than many other varietals.
Our third variety is the Kenyan Kalahari. This is a very popular variety, which is a great example of how you can use a variety of strains to create a new plant that is outstanding. The plants are known for their hardiness, disease resistance as well as their gorgeous flowers. In fact, they have been called the “Queen of the Kalahari”, after the famous Kalahari vine which provides the flowers. Some of the other varieties that we are looking at here are the Tanzania African Flower Blend, and the Zanzibar Gardenia. The flowers of this zebra family are hardy and resistant to a wide range of pests and diseases.
