Power Plant Canna Seeds
Power Plant is a favorite among many who are new to using medical marijuana. With a rich woodsy, peppery flavor, Power Plant seeds contain approximately 19% THC, giving a uplifting, woodsy and creative high which can be a little too potent for those new to medicinal or recreational marijuana use. Just like with any other strain, caution is advised when considering introducing this strain to anyone, especially those experiencing any sort of illness or disease. As always, consult your doctor before attempting this strain.
This strain was developed in Southern California by a Mr. Zacharias. He wanted to create a high-quality cannabis strain which was rich and had a distinct flavor. Mr. Zacharias chose to start with feminized (aka ” feminized “,) seeds because he felt that this was healthier than the “regular” seed variety, as these seeds were in a developing state, more like a flower, than a regular seedling. This allowed him to control the chemical composition in the final product, as well as have higher quality buds. After carefully germinating the seeds, Mr. Zacharias transferred the water to the pots and set the pots in a sunny and warm location. The following day, Mr. Zacharias removed the pots and lightly misted the tops of the pots with herb spray to discourage any insects.
Within a few days the buds showed up with vibrant green leaves. Within two weeks, they had completely grown into full-sized plants and the Mr. Zacharias was very happy with the results, despite the fact that the plant did not produce any pollen. He decided to try to cross breed the seeds from his “regular” sativa with the “special” feminized cannabis seeds and this resulted in the currently popular Power Plant. The South African sativa plant is also known as “powerweed”. When crossed with feminized cannabis, it produces a super crop that is fast growing, strong smelling and has high concentrations of THC (tetrofen) in the buds.
The Mr. Zacharias plant was originally developed in the Kalahari Desert region and was originally used for food but it proved to be much more potent than that, even with the additional Cross Cascading. It’s high smoke output, which produces a soothing effect, has led to it being grown in dozens of countries worldwide and has created a huge industry. It’s also been a favorite of medical marijuana farmers in the US because the crop produced by the South African sativa is very resistant to pests, thus allowing them to harvest large harvests frequently without having to do any trimming.
With hybridization, the Power Plant weed seeds produced a “better” strain which is more consistent, stronger smelling and harderier than its original counterpart. The resulting strain now known as Crystal Grower is now the most popular strain used by independent Canadian distributors and is being sold across Canada as ” indica supreme “. It’s been reported by consumers that the smell and taste are all similar, with the only real difference being stronger flavor. Crystal Grower is currently the most popular hybrid between two of the most prolific licensed medical cannabis suppliers in North America. Other hybrid seed sources include Frenchy’s Island and Lemon Grass.
The Canadian Maple growers are at the forefront of cannabis cultivation and are producing some of the highest quality buds in the world using only the finest plants from selected sites around the world. It is very rare for buds to cross with feminized strains, but when they do, the result is often stronger tasting buds with a more resin like aroma. The original Sativa strain is believed to produce the most powerful psychoactive substance in cannabis. The highly potent hybrid strain is still not available in Canada due to the federal laws protecting the medicinal nature of cannabis.
California based medical marijuana suppliers are producing some of the best cannabis seeds in the world, and some of the best results too. California’s Medpot Growers Association, or MBA, is responsible for keeping track of all the various tests and procedures that each plant has undergone to qualify it for certification. Each year the group holds a contest to see who can produce the most-effective hybrids and also who can produce the most consistent results. One of the latest results was from a Sativa/ Pistachios hybrid which produced good results, proving again that the separation of the sexes does make a big difference.
Another popular hybrid breed producing amazing results is the Jamaica Blue. This particular strain has proven very efficient at pollinating large numbers of plants in a short space of time thanks to its amazing adaptability to the kinds of conditions found in south African conditions. Although this variety is only becoming popular in the US market at the moment, the south African climate and the ability to produce large amounts of buds has already made it a very popular choice. Other good results have come from strains producing buds in different colour shades; blue, purple, red, white and yellow. So, if you are interested in getting high quality cannabis seeds for your indoor garden, take a look at the options available from specialist growers in California and you’ll soon find the right choice.
