Recipes and Treats
Lemon Bubblegum is a sweet, thick, and syrupy gum made by the Chewy brand of Tylenol. This flavorless gum was introduced in 1960, and has been a mainstay ever since! It is a very popular flavor in candy bars, chewing gum, and even in energy drinks like Boost. It has many varieties to appeal to all tastes and is loved for its unique gum flavor.
Lemon is a member of the citruses family of limes. Like other citruses, it has a brown color pigment, and like most limes it is tart on the inside with a slight taste. It does not have any taste of its own, but merely compliments the food you are chewing. This makes it an excellent addition to flavored chewing gum, or any number of other chewing gums.
Lemon is an effective painkiller! Just one squeeze of lemon juice added to any type of gum can help to relieve tension and muscle aches. And it has a unique ability to give you a burst of energy. If you combine it with Vitamin C, that burst of energy can even last as long as you’ve got your breath in, so it’s a winner!
Lemon can also be used as an antiseptic. Mixing one tablespoon of lemon juice with another half a cup of club soda can make a great tonic for soothing inflamed gums. It is especially effective when combined with rubbing alcohol. Other uses include washing the mouth after eating, removing a toothache with lemon juice, and treating sunburn. (It is important to rinse the mouth thoroughly with water after applying it.)
Lemon works well for cleaning gold. Simply put some lemon juice on a piece of gold and then rub it over it for a nice shine. Not only does it clean things, it tastes really good too!
Lemon also tastes great on coffee. Put some lemon juice with a touch of hot water in a mug and put it in the microwave for a quick cup of coffee. Not only does it taste good, it cleans quite well. As an alternative to using coffee filters, you can use lemon slices for this purpose.
Lemon strain can even be used to treat sore throats. Just break up a lemon wedge and rub it on the sore throat for about 15 minutes. This can be repeated several times a day until the soreness goes away. To get the best results, make sure you only use this remedy on cold sores.
And yes, it can even be used on cavities! You simply take some fresh lemon and squeeze it into a cavity and cover it with a small piece of cheesecloth or tissue. Leave it in place overnight and the next morning you’ll have a beautiful smile!
Don’t forget that this gum can also be put to good use around the house as well. Just squeeze enough juice out of one wedge into your vacuum cleaner bag and vacuum your floors, tables, and chairs! Or even put a slice of lemon inside your vacuum cleaner bag and vacuum all the way from the floor to your car. This will leave your car smelling fresh and clean!
If you have kids at home, they’ll love the added flavors that lemon juice adds to their drinks. If they have a particular flavor they’d like, try mixing it into a delicious shake. For a summer drink, add some juice to your children’s iced tea. Or for an everyday drink, lemon juice will go great with any iced tea or coffee.
And since it’s all-natural, there’s no chance of harmful side effects. Unlike alcohol or caffeine, lemon is a safe drug. One glass of lemon juice is the equivalent of about 12 ounces of soda or coffee. The same amount is great for making ginger ale, too.
Another great thing about the lemon juice strain is that it is easy on the budget. You’ll only need to buy a little bit, and it will last for weeks. Plus, you can always squeeze a little more when you get thirsty. If you have kids, they’ll love having their own little lemon container. They can even take it on camping trips. And when they’re done, they’ll be left with a great new recipe for homemade ice cream, cookies, or whatever else they’d like to make in them.
