Limited Edition Seeds

Limited Edition Seeds is those which are not readily available to the general public or are extremely difficult to locate. A good breeder of cannabis seeds will always stock a limited amount of his/her strain selection, usually selected from among the best male and female strains. There is a select group of breeders who will cultivate only rarer strains, usually to create a limited amount of high quality marijuana each year. These rare strains are chosen due to their production values, as well as the character possessed by them; and their limited nature of selection, making each plant a one of a kind.

Marijuana flowers are selected on the basis of many factors including the time of year, growing conditions and environmental conditions. The main criteria, in all cases, is the time of year, since flowering time affects the overall quality of the crop. Marijuana seeds that are available to breed at a later date are called ‘Limited Edition’. In the United States, marijuana with limited edition genes is known as a “Blended Stock”. All breeds, regardless of their limited edition genes are considered to be high quality marijuana. In fact, some strains may even result in better quality plants than some of the more popular varieties.

Many of the breeders of cannabis seeds are responsible for ensuring that the marijuana they produce is of excellent quality. Breeding techniques used by these breeders include all-clothed females with males, hybridization of indica and thc levels, and even crosses between indica and sativa. These techniques ensure that the resulting crop has increased moisture retention, high protein levels, higher fatty acids, high cannabidiol levels, longer flowering time, and resistance to disease.

Limited Edition cannabis seeds are almost always feminized. Feminization of cannabis seeds occurs when the mother plant, with its pollen, is exposed to heat in the growing process. Heat causes the pollen to become “zehered” and this pollen, along with the female flowers, will start to be released into the environment where it will pollinate and create feminized plants. Only the male flowers will remain dormant.

The Coloradoan Black Cohosh (BC) and Northern Pike (PN) are two popular examples of feminized seeds. Both of these species come from the Colorado mountains and are famous for their tough leaves and powerful aroma. These plants are very hardy and grow well in a variety of soils and temperatures, making them suitable candidates for many different types of cannabis seed banks. However, there are other possibilities for feminized plants as well.

Limited Edition Herbs is often feminized. Some of the most popular female herbs are the Lemon Balm from the California coast, the Lemon Chiffon from the West Coast, and the Mexican Tree Cherry from the Sonoran Desert. These plants are also known as “Limited Edition Herbs”. These plants have their roots plucked right before they are shipped to seed banks and then plucked again before they are released into the environment. Many limited edition herb plants have strong flavor and are highly prized by breeders, but some varieties are simply too rare and exotic to interest many cannabis seed banks.

Limited Edition Seeds may only contain one or two common or rare species. Some of these species may also be crossed with other less popular or hard-to-grow strains to create new limited edition strains. Breeders sometimes cross a legendary strain with a hard-to-grow herb in order to create a new strain with unique characteristics. These traits may include disease resistance, high flowering time, and/or high potency.

Limited Edition Herbs, although very rare, is often still quite valuable. Some are worth more than they would be if they were simply sold as feminized. Common strains, such as Lemon Grass, often are very highly sought after by breeders. Hybrid strains between popular strains can lead to new hybrid strains that are even more desirable. Because of the nature of these flowers, only rare, highly sought after strains are used for breeding.
