Regular marijuana seeds, or just “regular” marijuana seeds, are natural seeds which are originally produced by the cannabis plant. These seeds are popularly used in the cultivation of various other plants for their exotic flowers and other qualities. A large number of individuals prefer to cultivate their own marijuana plants rather than buying them from other sources. Some grow the plants in small indoor gardens; others cultivate them on a large scale.
Because of marijuana’s genetics, it is impossible to get all of the desirable traits from one type of marijuana plant and to mix different kinds from different strains. Hence, it is impossible to create marijuana strains that have all the desired desirable traits, such as producing more potent marijuana strains with feminized seeds. However, through carefully selecting the plants, one can create hybrid strains by crossing each parent with another one of its parents.
Hybrid marijuana plants are created by crossing each parent with another one of its parents and then breeding the resulting lines together. The result is an extensive collection of various types of regular marijuana seeds, such as auto flower seeds, autoflower hybrids, autoflower and indica strains, etc. Some of the most common and attractive hybrids growing today are the likes of Colombian Autoflower, Colombian indica, Hawaiian, French, Hawaiian, Mexican and Russian autoflower seeds.
Autoflower seeds are the commonest form of regular marijuana seeds. They are crossbred to produce regular marijuana plants with the ability to produce a new generation with three times the normal number of chromosomes – hence, the name ‘autoflower’. A crossbreeding process occurs when only one male seed from a plant produces pollen and this pollen is passed on to the next generation. Thus, even though females are unaffected, the offspring will have three times the number of chromosomes from the parent plant. The Autoflower strain is also very useful in producing various other desirable traits, such as increased strength, endurance, aroma, flavor, sweetness and the like.
An auto flower seed that contains only one or two chromosomes is called a homozygous and will therefore produce either a male or a female plant. These plants will have no possibility of pollinating other plants as they will be crossing themselves. However, the chances of crossbreeding increase dramatically when a homozygous plant is used. Two plants will be homozygous, but one will contain only one chromosome and the other will contain two chromosomes. When these plants are crossed, they will both become females and be able to pollinate the other plants in their environment.
One popular method used to crossbreed cannabis plants is known as the early Durban poison regular seeds technique. This technique requires two marijuana plants to be grown in separate pots. The male plant is placed into the female plant‘s pot and the two are crossed via a plastic tube. The male plant‘s pollen is deposited on the female’s stigma where it germinates and releases pollen. The process is complete when the pollen has germinated and has started to produce buds.
It is also possible to produce feminized cannabis seeds through artificial means. This can be achieved through genetic manipulation or through chemical means. There is currently a technique where female and male plants are crossed to develop feminized seeds. However, this process is not without risk and is currently only available in certain countries.
In Canada, the use of chemicals to crossbreed cannabis plants is prohibited due to the risks involved. However, researchers are still working on developing better techniques to crossbreed cannabis plants. The ultimate goal is to produce feminized weed seeds that would be suitable for indoor growing. Regular marijuana seeds for females are expected to become readily available in the future.
