Lemon Blossom Strain is a herbal remedy that has been around since the 1800’s. It has been a favorite of herbalists all over the world for its pain killing, anti inflammatory properties and its ability to relieve congestion. There is an extract made from the Lemon Balm flower. In order to get the most out of this tea, you should be able to follow some simple rules.
The first step is to make sure you are buying the genuine stuff. This can be determined by looking at the back label. There should be a minimum age given for consumption and there should be a legal indication on the bottle. Don’t buy anything with’sterile’ written across the label as this is illegal. So long as the lemon flower is genuine and not mixed with other herbal ingredients or pesticides, it will be fine.
Next, you should look at the quantity given on the label. If the packet is very small, it probably isn’t. The little packet may well contain only a couple of grams of the powerful Lemon Balm strain, which is quite normal, but is not very effective. If the packet is bigger (which is more likely), it will most likely contain more than one gram of the powerful Lemon Balm strain.
To brew this tea, you will need hot water, fresh lemons and a teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Put all this into a kettle and bring to the boil. Whilst stirring, cover the tea for about 5 minutes so it doesn’t burn. The boiling process will remove any’skin’ left on the tea leaves, which is why the strain is taken away from them.
Let the tea steep for two minutes before you strain it. When the second minute is up, push the spoon through the leaves and strain again. Repeat this process until you have no more skin left in the leaves. It is important not to press too hard, as the tea might break. Don’t worry though, as this strain has been developed for people with strong teeth.
Lemon Tea can be made into any number of tasty recipes. One particular favourite is to drink it with the biscuits, cakes or pastries that are usually consumed during the Christmas holidays. You can also make some additions to your regular tea to make it more appealing. If you add some cinnamon to the lemon tea, for example, you can have lemon tea-crazed biscuits that are amazing for breakfast, whether you are trying to lose weight or just have an energy boost! Just make sure you don’t overdo it and the cinnamon will only mask any taste defects.
The Lemon Bubblegum Strain is ideal for making other herbal teas, too. For example, if you want a delicious summer tea, you can make a refreshing Tonic Tea by replacing the lemon juice with a few drops of rose water. Then, strain the tea into cups, add some sugar, lemon juice, some mints or cranberries, and let it sit for about half an hour. You can then serve it chilled or just cold, whichever is better for you. You can make Tonic Tea from any other flavours such as raspberry or ginger, just add the extra ingredients and let them steep for a few more minutes before serving. Or you could just drink it as it is, without any added flavouring.
Of course, it’s not just summer and Christmas that the Lemon Bubblegum Strain can be used for. For example, it works perfectly well with other teas, especially in the autumn months when tea drinkers’ favourite beverage, known as pumpkin stew, is in demand. Simply strain the tea into another container, add a few drops of your chosen essential oil (essential oils are not necessary, but make a statement with your teas!) and pour into your pan. You are then able to serve this delicious autumn tea hot or cold.
