Limited Edition Seeds (Females) For Strong Relaxing Effect!
Limited Edition Seeds: feminized or hybrid seeds are created with the assistance of cross pollination from another species, or they can be artificially transformed through genetic engineering. This article will focus on the latter. Cross-pollination occurs when two distinct, non-identical plants are provided with similar ovules or leaves. The pollen of one of the plants is inserted into the ovule of the second plant. Cross-pollination increases the chance of creating hybrid offspring that have the characteristics of both parents.
It is for this reason that many gardeners and breeders tend to cross their female plants with the male counterpart’s pollen. Cross pollination can take place at any stage during the growth phase of the plant, although it is most prolific during late summer and early fall. Because of the high level of saturation that characterizes most annuals, cross pollination between annuals is extremely common.
Male flowers on the other hand are usually feminized. The process of feminization typically occurs at the time of blooming, although it can take place as late as three weeks prior to bloom. All female plants have an ovule, which contains a pollen capsule. The capsule is transferred by the wind from the female flowers to the open end of the flower where it germinates and releases pollen. The majority of annuals do not have any set period in which feminized seeds may be developed, although I have noticed that some perennials like the Chinese Juniper do produce a few in early spring.
The limited edition seeds that are developed from cross pollination are usually highly fragrant. One of the best known examples of this is the African Violets, which have a deep, sweet, spicy fragrance. Many of the new generation of African Violets are extremely fragrant; however, a small percentage of the seeds produced are considered rare and collectable. These include the “red” African Violets, the “fire x f2 dominant” African Violets, and the “limited edition seed red” African Violets. Collectible seed packets are very common on the market, and they offer excellent prices and quality.
In order for a plant to flower, it must be able to absorb and utilize the necessary light. For most flowers, this comes from a floral tube that stretches between the base of the flower and a skimmer or capered base. Flowering aproximately two times a year–on an east/west rotation–the florist will rotate their plants so each florist has access to an east/west growing season. The quality and quantity of the flowers depends on where the plants are placed on the rotation. It is my personal belief that you can improve the odds of getting more productive specimens by choosing your florist carefully, so I have included a note about where I get my seeds from.
Most people don’t realize that the female plants do not actually need to be feminized. I prefer to call them “masquerade seeds” because they do not advertise themselves as cannabis seeds, but they are designed to look and feel like them. Most of them, in my opinion, look like miniature roses. If you’re going to use feminized cannabis seeds, make sure they are used in conjunction with a feminized plant or they will stunt your plants growth.
All my plants have gone through a rigorous process before I started breeding them. There is a large room, with lots of sterile bedding, which I keep moist at all times. I take my selected blossoms and place them in plastic airtight bags, labeled with the plant name, number, and plant ID. My wife and I also do our own sterile bagging to maintain a consistent quality and freshness of our feminized seeds (and our feminized plants). All we have to do is let the bags get stale or moist for a few weeks and our feminized buds are ready to harvest.
When you harvest your feminized buds, remember, they have already gone through a vigorous and deep process. Make certain that you only harvest what you need. A good watering and misting schedule is recommended for your feminized plants. Many feminized seeds (especially those from the Bud Finder) also contain a Resin, which makes them even more potent and full of resins. Don’t harvest more than one-third of the plant‘s height at once, because that will result in a very strong aroma. Enjoy your new feminized plant!
